The Kremlin on Monday declined to say whether or not Russian President Vladimir Putin would grant an interview to U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson – or whether he was in Moscow.
“We can hardly be expected to provide information on the movement of foreign journalists,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said when asked about speculation that Carlson was in Russia to interview Putin.
“Many foreign journalists come to Russia every day, many continue to work here, and we welcome this,” Peskov said. “We have nothing to announce in terms of the president’s interviews to foreign media.”

Tucker could be in Moscow negotiating the release of jailed Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich. He has been in a Russian jail for almost 1 year.
Tucker must have rebuked your advances. Face it, he just isn’t in to you.

If he gets the interview be may well be boosted into the lofty zone of Walter Cronkite, and Chet Huntley. What better way to stick it into the eye of Fox News? As William Randolph Hearst once said. “If there is no news, make news.” Maybe he is acting as an agent of Donald Trump? I don’t know if he would make a good VP but he would be a heck of a news spokes person for the Trump White House? He would also make a heck of an advisor.
Until Congress voted to declare war against Russia, it is nonsense to say Tucker is a traitor to interview Putin. The opinions of a few in Washington don’t make a country an enemy.
Even if Russia was voted an enemy, there is merit to hear all sides. Could an interview with Saddam Hussein prevented USA from invading to look for weapons of mass destruction?
We only hear from one side, and that one side always has an agenda.

MOSCOW, February 5 - RIA Novosti. The car in which American journalist Tucker Carlson allegedly travels around Moscow has left the territory of the Russian Presidential Administration, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
Earlier on Monday, Izvestia published footage of a black van carrying an American journalist allegedly heading to the presidential administration. A black van with the same license plate left the protected area at about 18:10, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
The Mash Telegram channel previously wrote that American journalist Tucker Carlson is in Moscow and on February 3 in the evening he was seen at the Bolshoi Theater at the ballet “Spartacus”.
The possibility of Carlson’s interview with the Russian leader was reported back in September 2023, when the journalist, in an interview with the Swiss magazine Die Weltwoche, stated that he tried to interview the President of the Russian Federation , but was banned by the US authorities .
The journalist did not specify the circumstances of the incident.
