Patrick Mahomes Sr., the dad of superstar Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a former Mets pitcher, was arrested Saturday in Tyler, Texas, on a charge of DWI for the third time or more, according to jail records.
Mahomes Sr., who had been in attendance for his son’s playoff games this year, was arrested eight days before the younger Mahomes is set to play in Super Bowl 2024 against the 49ers in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.
In 2018, Mahomes Sr. received his second DWI charge and he served 40 days in jail on weekends in 2019 and 2020.
Mahomes Sr., 53, played 11 seasons in MLB, pitching for the Mets in the 1999 and 2000 seasons.

I guess he's a dumb@$$.
What does that have to do with Pat Srs DWI charge?
Can Taylor get his charges dismissed?
Brittany charged the meal to the room like most people do. Big deal.
The dad needs to behave himself.
Maybe he can sneak into Mexico then sneak back into the USA. That solves many crime, financial and political issues. I am torn on our DUI methods. I know that won’t be a popular opinion. Know a guy that got busted with a 0.1 and what a mess. 50 years of nothing the bang 0.1 BAC Now the citizens don’t get that 75K / year in tax revenue off his labors. Again not popular opinion but no accident, no issues …. Probably safer than that 20 year old on that damn phone that ran me off the road.
Our society has so much crazy things out of order. Steal 1K - no arrest. 3 beers and bang 3 years of misery. Yet there are people knee deep in crime yet no one cares.
We have people serving 20 years on marijuana convictions that are now legal. I just don’t understand our world anymore.
Too bad...the curse of tay tay strengthens...
FFS.
Let’s see-Len Dawson. Something came up about gambling before the 1970 super bowl.
Joe Montana-Just before a Super Bowl. 5 year-old allegations about drug use. Brent Musberger ambushed him after a SB win I do believe.
Lock his ass up, third DWI, before he kills someone.
The USA is in Twilight Zone territory for sure.
Still...3 DUIs are enough. The guy needs to be off the roads.
Agree. I get the outrage over .25 BAC guy and repeat offender guy, but our DUI laws - are (and always have been) just another slippery slope or another frog in warm water.
The accuracy of some of the BAC’s is yet another issue.
I don’t disagree but the value of enforcement of laws for some vs others is a bit much for my taste and I would like to live in a law and order society. Unfortunately, I am getting to the point where I truly believe that laws are only for some of us now. The elites laugh at us for allowing them to use our moral code to punish only some. So it needs to be all or none. If none, then local “justice” can be provided.
I will not go to jail for the elites to play their games, steal/defraud me and then make me the bad guy. Off topic but makes me wonder if this particular enforcement isn’t money/power motivated. So much is these days.
When you come from an alcoholic home, you will either be a teetotaler or you will be a drunk. The middle of the road consists of purposefully having a single serving and putting it away. No real enjoyment.
“I’m sure his justice will be Swift.”
LOL, good one. It was right there!
