In the latest issue of Billboard, Swift offered a peek into her business acumen, sharing some advice for anyone looking to follow in her trailblazing path. “The piece of advice I would give to the other executives on this list is that the best ideas are usually ones without industry precedent,” Swift told Billboard. “The biggest crossroads moments of my career came down to sticking to my instincts when my ideas were looked at with skepticism. When someone says to me, ‘But that has never been done successfully before,’ it fires me up. We have to take strategic risks every day in this industry, but every once in a while, you have to really trust your gut and take a flying leap. My rerecordings are my favorite example of this, and I’m extremely grateful to my team and fans for taking that leap with me because it absolutely changed my life.”

She sings a song called “Shake it off” which sounds like a commercial for Weight watchers and this is suppose to pass as talent today.
Most of what she says appears to be scripted to make her look “cerebral”. What she is is an entertainer. She writes simple songs that appeal to simple people. She is a temporary diversion from real life for her fan base, nothing more.
Yes love Evita. And Madonna’s “Ray of Light” album, which she recorded after all the vocal training she did for the film. I’m actually more in line with Swift’s generation age wise, but I’ve paid to go see Madonna in concert. I do not plan on seeing Swift live any time soon. Don’t have same connection to her music. Admire her tenacity and drive though.
As for "stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism" maybe Ms. Ditz should take a look into the past of Mr. "Racial Jungle" Joe Biden, Mr. "You don't vote for me you ain't black"
its not us folks....its them...
It depends on how familiar you are with top-40 pop music.
A gyrating 304 who sings songs about her bad choices in men. Biden licker, too.
Good for her.
An absolute tool of the left. Does anyone else remember when she drew a lot of hate… until she started bad mouthing Trump; then all the haters suddenly went quiet and she was “wonderful”.
What took so long?
Have proudly never heard a note of her squealing!
Taylor Swift has made herself a false idol.
Jesus said, “By their fruits, you shall know them.”
Taylor Swift idolizes herself and that is one of the greatest sins against God.
She now believes she is the biggest star on Earth because she was ALWAYS a goddess. She always knew more than anyone and was more talented and wise than anyone. She is no longer at the level of mere mortals.
We should never take advice from such delusional people.
Her re-recording and re-releasing of her music is to deny the important role of the music moguls who promoted her to such stardom. She resents any company should collect money from her success when those allies played a key role to launch her to such heights.
We have all seen famous people publicly thank those who gave them their start...gave them their big break and have not forgotten such good fortune and how they rose because of it. They have the wisdom and humility to acknowledge their blessings.
Why did she originally go to a major record label as an unknown? They had the power to promote her and she knew it. There are lots of talented singers who remain unknown without such promotion.
Her really tough days are ahead. Soon, she will be so “yesterday” as happens to all who become famous.
She is famous and wealthy but fundamentally pathetic.
When you are at the top of the heap...you are the biggest of the big...until, suddenly, you are NOT.
There is only one direction she can go now...DOWN.
She tops the list? Boy, that would be totally unexpected for a DOD psyop for her to do that.
This all reminds me of the Beatles appearing on the Ed Sullivan show on Sunday night February 9, 1964 and the old folks making the same comments concerning them.
Most of us baby boomers don’t want to let the kids come into their generation and well hang on fighting and complaining until we die but the future is them not us......
There are 6 media companies that control 90% of what we see and hear. If you are a chosen one in music, you will be endlessly promoted over others that have talent but do not have the look that the media company is looking for.
In short if you can lip sync and dance around on stage and are some what good looking you do not need to know how to play instruments well or sing well as auto tune will smooth things out for you live on stage.
Sometimes the “artist” gets caught. Think about the Gene Kelly movie ‘Singin in the Rain’ where Debbie Reynolds was doing all the singing of Lina Lamont whose voice could break glass. They were at a theater and Lina was lip syncing and Gene Kelly and Donald O’Conner and another raised a curtain to reveal the real talent.
Sometimes auto tune fails or the singer insists on singing with their voice and the audience goes ‘huh?’ that is awful.
Todays ‘talent’ rarely has the talent that lasts. They are just promoted till another comes along.
Taylor is 34 now and will fade.
#4 & 5 Her singing is whiny and in that intimate performance it was faked.
sounds like tony robbins on hormones.
Don’t bother she’s not worth much bad music.
