When I was a teenager me and my brother discussed how cool a football league with a 300 yard field and massive 400 pound dudes of solid muscle all steroided out roid raging and sending like a 200 yard touchdown and fewer ridiculous rules like banning endzone celebrations and minor crap like that but still keep it structured the same way. I bet people would watch it

And while we’re at it, make the cheerleaders strippers

Not for volleyball. Could be dangerous.

Well with the Olympics losing rating, relevance and money constantly I’d say they should aim higher.

Really this is an inevitable development. We know the athletes are going to keep doping. They want to succeed. And as long as the sports keep enforcing anti-doping policies then we “can’t believe our eyes”. So many sporting events have their results changed because the stored samples from the winner fail some later test. About half of all Tour de France wins have been vacated. There’s Olympic events from the 80s that no longer have gold silver and bronze medals awarded because too many people have failed tests.

And that’s part of why ratings are dropping. Who really wants to watch an event just to wait 7 years to see if the results stand? At some point “screw it, let em dope” will take over.

True. I think meds like beta-blockers, Epogen, certain steroids used to recover from injury, OTC supplements, etc...should be less regulated/allowed. All that training and then you have to worry about what you digest triggering a possible positive or false positive would be aggravating
