I often wonder why his body just doesn’t give up and pass on. All the signs of elderly demise are there. Why does he linger to torment us? Just to keep us from being tormented by Harris?
People can hang on a very long time physically while the mind progressively disappears. We have a relative going through this now; it’s very difficult and heartbreaking, and so far not much can be done about it.
