State chairs don’t want a strong national chair. A strong national chair might break their rice bowls of ego and graft. They prefer a pliable milquetoast one. As far as they’re concerned the national chair exists for PR purpose only; a happy pretty face as the front marque of the GOP. The last chair worth a damn was Lee Atwater. I know many would disagree on this forum but I’ve always thought Newt Gingrich would be an effective chair. However that will never happen. Newt won’t do it an the state chairs wouldn’t put up with it.

If Mr. X is clearly looking to steal something and it disappears, I would suspect him of theft.
If Democrats were clearly looking to win the 2020 presidential electors by unlawful means and they win them, I would suspect Democrats of winning those electors by election theft.

When methods are employed that enable massive election fraud, then massive distrust may be the result.

The good news is we’ve had over 3 years to prevent a repeat of the epic 2020 election fraud.

The Republicans wanted to destroy her for the exactly the same reason they are out to destroy Trump Both Lake and Trump are populists who have a power base not controlled by the Establishment and they serve the people and do not work to enrich a small cabal of insiders. The establishment is totally self interested, feckless and unscrupulous so they have no problems cutting dirty deals with the Democrats as long as the small group pf Establishment republicans get paid off in the process
The Rank and File are fighting hard to pry the control of the party back from the Establishment. They are winning and the soon to be losers are getting desperate and are using vindictive attacks to cling to power.
Listen to the recent Kari Lake tape where DeWit explains that it is all about Republican back scratching and anyone who is unwilling to scratch the Establishment Republicans backs, or more importantly to the point, not in any position to scratch the Establishment Republicans backs must be eliminated. DeWit pretty much exposed the entire scam in few short sentences.
The reason the Republican establishment in Az is so opposed to Lake is because she is "not on the team", does not wish to become a member of "the team" because Lake has no interested in joining their mutual back scratching club.

Best of all, since the mutual back scratching club has secret decoder ring, Lake's recording of the conversation means she is not able to keep cabal secrets she will never be part of the team, even if she wanted to because as DeWit has said. Lake has broken trust of the golden rule of back scratching - no one talks about back scratching in public.
