When I went to high school in the late 1970s menstruation products in boys' bathrooms would have lasted approximately two minutes.
They would either have been thrown in a dumpster, tossed in the middle of the football field and strewn with toilet paper, or tossed in the pool.

For boys — and for many men — a tampon dispenser in the gents restroom is a way of calling them p*ssies. In a bad mood or after a few drinks, I might be inclined to sabotage or kick the damn thing off the wall out of sheer cussedness.
