The deceased is part of a crime investigation and coverup. Also, the deceased does not enjoy a right to privacy, nor any other rights (Furber vs Taylor, Keller vs Fink)

Why should the public be entitled to see a private citizen’s private dealings?

By law, the dead enjoy no privacy. By law, the FBI must release the contents of the laptop as it’s FOIA. Be Aware they FBI denied existence of the laptops (note that their are more than one and they had them from within days of his demise) for years.
