How many of these "casualties" were caused by Russian spetsnaz and FSB who after Yanukovych fled, moved into the Donbas to stir up the whole separatist movement?

The spetsnaz and FSB were in Ukraine since 2012 to prop up Yanukovych where they made up the majority of the Berkut special police force.

You might actually want to check the categories behind the headline.

2014-2015 saw high civilian casualties. From 2019 onwards it was nearly a fifty fifty split between DPR/LPR combatants and Ukrainian combatants.

For three years straight there weren’t even 30 civilian deaths counted either by the UN/Ukraine observers or by Russia’s observers (the DNR Ombudsman in Donetsk).
