'The greatest unopened find': Regina family finds case of hockey cards that could be worth millions

A Regina family has stumbled upon what one company is calling “the greatest unopened find of the 21st century” that could be worth millions.

According to Heritage Auctions, the family found an unopened case of 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards that are the only known case from Wayne Gretzky’s rookie season, which would mean a pretty penny for serious collectors.

The case features 16 boxes of 48 packs with 14 cards per pack, meaning there are 10,752 cards in the unopened case. And while many of those cards won’t be worth much, there could be several that could be worth thousands and even millions.
