Thats not a record of modern apes. The fossil record of them is almost non existent. Here’s are some excerpts from a scientific paper on the subject.

I disagree with the fact that we are descended from apes, just saying that there is little to no fossil record of modern apes.

Nessie is a different story. I have no personal experience with that subject and probably never will.
