called doc complaining of sore spot behind my left nipple.
he sent me for an x ray, it came back clear.
i quit smoking.
2 months later i had a scheduled check up, and was sent for an mri.
doc called , said i had lung cancer now.
have been waiting over a week for a call to schedual a biopsy.
probably at back of line cuz of illegeals.
how ironic that i quit smoking, have clear x ray, then 2 months later get lung cancer.
request prayers.
I am sincerely sorry to hear this. I will say a prayer for you.
One thing I DO know is that treatment for this has gotten significantly better than it had been even a few years ago.

We come in agreement and pray for cux1961’s recent lung cancer diagnosis . .. that first of all cuz1961 is going to the right care facility/personnel. You are the Mighty Healer and we pray in the Name of Jesus that this cancer be gone. Provide comfort and direct Cuz1961’s path. In Jesus Name, Amen.
A) Do not worry.
B) Get your sleep.
C) Do the follow-up work for all scheduling. If you think that you should have heard something “by now,” call, visit, “just barge right in.”
FYI it takes decades for smoking cessation to bring down the numbers. Make sure you get an aorta scan. I pray they caught it early or that it is benign.

My wife is going through the same thing, although she quit smoking over thirty years ago.

Our doctor used robotics. The great thing about using robotics is that it is less invasive, as it only requires a small incision, not a massive incision.
See if you can get a doctor who is experienced in robotics, I suggest choosing that doctor. Then have faith in the Lord & your doctor & feel confident that everything will go smoothly. That way you are not stressed from now until when you go in, which will help post surgery if you just take the process in stride.
The doctor came in to see me, and I asked him if it was okay if I got out of bed and sat in the char. He smiled and said of course, that is a good sign actually.
Hopefully your experience will be the same as both my wife & my experience.
The longest part, for me at least, was getting discharged because they said there was still too much blood coming from my lung. I'm think it was about 8 days. I felt like I could go home after 3 days. Always in a rush to leave the hospital. Especially I've never spent more than a single night in the hospital t that point or since.
Hope my experience gives you confidence that all should go well. Along with our prayers there should be no issues. 🙂 👍
