Neither Morris nor Whalen currently face any criminal charges, but an attorney representing several investors has questioned the Morrises’ move.
Sounds like the fact that there are no charges against them and there's been no trial, and these two say the problem is they trusted an untrustworthy business partner means nothing. It really sounds like lawfare to silence him, but who knows without actual information, documentation - for you insinuation or accusation are enough. Again, just like lawfare against Trump.
