Honestly Vietnam is way more family-related than America now.
The divorce rate is the second-lowest in the world.
Hi cba123,
It’s great to hear Vietnam’s families remain strong. I sensed that in my short visit to your country.
When I would go to the local coffee shop in Hanoi, I saw young students with their textbooks studying there. I saw parents in a small public park making breakfast for kids going to school early in the morning.
And here in Japan, through a local international club that teaches the Japanese language to foreign residents, I’ve met students and professionals from Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia who are wonderful people.
So I hope that the strong family culture of Southeast Asia continues to grow — and that America, too, can return to the family-strong, self-reliant, and hard-working culture I was raised in.
