A lesbian couple was unwelcomed by their wedding venue. Now, they've been gifted one for free

After having their "dream wedding venue" owners tell them they didn't approve of their marriage because of their sexuality, two women in Kansas have since been gifted a new location to get married at, free of charge.

Ali Waggy and Jessica Robinson of Wichita first wanted to hold their wedding ceremony at The Barn at Grace Hill in Newton, Kansas, after "falling in love" with the location. Following months of communication and an in-person tour, Waggy suddenly received an email from the venue's owner, just as they were preparing to put down their deposit.

This is where this was heading from the start. Notice that the wedding venue did NOT deny them the right to have their fake "wedding" at their facilities, they simply were honest about their position on the subject. Don't think the deviant brigade won't work to "correct attitudes" like this by force of law if they gain the power to do so.

The media is fair and balanced and I trust them-—they would surely cover a story on persecuted Christians and Conservatives——oh wait, never mind.

See? Just find a ‘hateful’ placed, whine about it online, and you’ll get a free marriage ceremony.

From the article:

Waggy suddenly received an email from the venue's owner, just as they were preparing to put down their deposit.

“While our deeply held religious belief keeps us from celebrating anything but marriage between a man and woman, we desire to serve everyone equally and do not want to keep anyone from using our building who would like to," wrote the venue co-owner, Amanda Balzer, who said that while they could not prohibit the women from getting married there, she wanted to let them know "who we are and where our heart is.”

I actually like the end result. The two parties (couple and venue) couldn't come to an agreement so they had the "wedding" somewhere else that did agree to the couple's terms.

It's a lot better than the Dims using the power of government to force the Christians to participate in someone else's sexual immorality like they're still doing with Jack Phillips.

*** “While our deeply held religious belief keeps us from celebrating anything but marriage between a man and woman, we desire to serve everyone equally and do not want to keep anyone from using our building who would like to,” wrote the venue co-owner, Amanda Balzer, who said that while they could not prohibit the women from getting married there, she wanted to let them know “who we are and where our heart is.”

Waggy posted a screenshot of the email to Facebook to express her disappointment, noting that she “cried all night” after receiving the message. She said that she felt as if she was being told “we will take your money, but we’re not going to celebrate your marriage & want to make sure you know that.”***

As you said, the venue didn’t prohibit them from having their wedding there. Someone who isn’t lesbian or gay might read their note, and realize that the venue is likely being FORCED to provide the service should they wish to go forward.

In other words, the venue couldn’t be sued, because they would allow such an event to take place at that venue.

So of course, they’d take your money. They are being forced by gays and lesbians to take the money.

Funny how the LGBT crowd gets their way every time.

It’s not a “wedding”, and states should not be forced by the federal government to recognize them. It’s unconstitutional.

The venue owner was smart in the way he/she let the potential applicants know. Would not do anything to keep them from renting the venue but just to let them know his/her personal beliefs didn’t warrant celebration of the impending marriage.

The law says you have to let them get married. It doesn’t say you have to love and endorse it.

The brides were hoping that by belly-aching on social media, that the LGBT community would go after the venue.

Fortunately, the venue didn’t refuse to do it, they just told them they wouldn’t be celebrating with them.

Well, in 2022, Congress passed the Respect for Marriage Act which explicitly legalizes homosexual marriage in federal law.

So now we only have Supreme Court decisions but also a law passed by Congress which legalizes homosexual marriage.

Not sure about the constitutionality of any of that.

The venue owner was smart in the way he/she let the potential applicants know.

I would have gone further and told them that all the proceeds from the transaction would be donated to Family Research Council, a hated pro-family, pro-(real)marriage organization.

That would have dissuaded any other pervert would-be customers.

"Not sure about the constitutionality of any of that."

The 10th Amendment states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The Constitution says nothing about "marriage rights", which homos think they have but is not specified anywhere. It is a right of the people to not have to recognize them, according to the 10th amendment.

“The law says you have to let them get married.”

I’m not sure Kansas law requires renting them a venue. Federal court probably do claim authority to force rentals because of the 1868 homosexual marriage amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The venue handled the request deftly. However, because of what the venue owners were thinking, they may be at risk of being sent to prison.

Matt Walsh roasted this at great length on yesterday’s show. I don’t see it in this article but he was quoting another about how one or the other “cried all night” over this. Poor lamb, but as you say, whining = free stuff, so all good
