I was on a commercial flight yesterday on the west coast yesterday when the first one hit. I figured we were going into some sort of time-warp tunnel and had no idea where we would emerge. Then we landed in Spokane, confirming my fears.

On the brighter side, the effects will likely create auroras visible in Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

And of course, it's going to be 100% overcast and snowing. As usual during opportunities for the best aurora viewing.
