Streaming is cheap to do, but if you don’t have any programs that people want to pay the streaming fee for, then you’re done.

Paramount has been entertaining buyout offers - the son of Larry Ellison (founder of Oracle, multi billionaire) has a big time entertainment company producing many of the big Tom Cruise movies; video games and TV shows. They reportedly made an all cash offer for Paramount backed by L.E.’s cash.
Layoffs may be due to cash flow but it may also have to do with cleaning up the books to get a better price.

They spend too much on these productions, I have no idea where the money goes since most of these modern films look awful.
Star Wars a new hope adjusted for inflation cost 55 million and rise of Skywalker cost 400 million.
Which one will stand the test of time more?

Streaming is great. It costs far less than distributing physical media. The problem is they have no content people are willing to pay for.

Maybe they can apply for Illegal Alien status. Then they’ll be taken care of.

I talk a lot about the conservatives who continue to pay the mainstream media to entertain them no matter how often they lie about us or incite violence against us, but to those of you who cut the cord, good job. You are making a difference.

For months now, I’ve seen all these stories of lay-offs in every industry (except government). Yet, we never see it seem to show up in the job reporting numbers. And, I’m seeing comments from people saying they can’t find a replacement job.
My sister, who works in the real estate closing industry, texted me just this afternoon letting me know she has been laid off after seven years with the same law firm. She asked me to let her know if I hear of any openings in her field. The reason was that they did not have enough work to continue employing her. She processed home sale closing documents. That speaks volumes.
