“... loyalty to Trump could become the latest wedge threatening to divide Republicans...”
Seriously?
THAT boat sailed long ago!
“Bro, have you been reading the news in the past 7 years??”
All people in the USA should be considered innocent until proven guilty, even if they work for the FBI and DOJ.
I would hit all for 10% for not naming the names of the guilty and being complicit in the misuse of government agencies.
For real? You truly believe that conservatism should no longer have a voice, so long as we have Trump?
“He doesn’t think President Trump is electable. Bob Good is disloyal, which means you can’t trust him. People need to know this.”
Pence in 2020 was not a vote magnet. He brought nothing to the table except cowardice.
I don’t trust any of them, most especially since they have not called for tax caps or exiting the Refugee Convention.
“House Republican disagreements between conservatives and centrist lawmakers on government funding and leadership have been a mainstay since the GOP won back a slim majority in 2022.”
That is an example of the sloppy thinking and writing done by today’s pundits. That disagreement has been going on for decades and decades.
No, I believe in backing a proven winner and not doing the Dems work for them.

“Trying to remove him and others like him, for holding true to his principles, will only move the party further left.”
In your creepy little world, holding true to principles can only occur with people who don’t like Trump.
I know nothing about Good, but if Trump helped him get elected twice and he comes out for DeSantis, then he is not holding true to his principles. He would have loudly rejected Trump’s endorsement.
Sounds like the "divide" started with Good.
Sounds like the principle of not having a "coronation" started with Good.
So what is the author whining about?
He'd first have to specify what/who he thinks actual conservatives in Congress are before he wags his finger and condemns Republican voters (I presume he's talking MAGA here).
Regardless of what HIS rating/record is, Republican controlled Congresses (including this one for the House) have done NOTHING but acquiesce, cave, pander while they give away our freedom, ignore the border and spend, spend, spend.
Does he think Paul Ryan was/is a 'conservative?' Ryan single-handedly did everything he could to tank President Trump's agenda, IMO. If the likes of Ryan or his ilk are endangered, then what the heck is the point of trying to scare Republicans to vote for them? Because we'd 'lose our majority' to accomplish NOTHING?
I intend to vote for DeSantis in the Florida primary.
DeSantis thinks of all the good things that Trump thinks and he also has the legal knowledge necessary to make good things happen.
That principle works both ways, right?
More nevertrumper crap from a forum hack
Some are paid just like Z bots and often one and same
I’m not a fan of “personality cult” politics but where did the Founding Fathers say that?

“Before his assassination, there was a challenge from Louisiana Senator Huey Long. But, due to his untimely death, President Roosevelt faced only one primary opponent other than various favorite sons. Henry Skillman Breckinridge, an anti-New Deal lawyer from New York, filed to run against Roosevelt in four primaries. Breckinridge’s challenge of the popularity of the New Deal among Democrats failed miserably. In New Jersey, President Roosevelt did not file for the preference vote and lost that primary to Breckinridge, even though he did receive 19% of the vote on write-ins. Roosevelt’s candidates for delegates swept the race in New Jersey and elsewhere. In other primaries, Breckinridge’s best showing was 15% in Maryland. Overall, Roosevelt received 93% of the primary vote, compared to 2.5% for Breckinridge.”

I appreciate that he is on the right side of the issues. Yet he is still backing loser “heels” DeSantis, who spent $1497 per vote in “conservative” Iowa and got crushed.
DeSantis amount spent per vote in Iowa
Everyone in the Republican Party calls themself a “conservative” which is all well and good. What we need right now are people who will support the man who has the best chance of torpedoing the deep state and turning this ship to oblivion around. That is the most critical issue at this point. If Representative Good can't recognize this and get on board, then he has displayed a lack of good judgement and deserves whatever arm twisting that is currently being applied no matter how "conservative" he is. That is called politics.
Exactly. There is no wedge. There are Trump supporters and never Trumpers. The never Trumpers options will all be gone sooner , rather than later and theyll have no choice. Unless of course they are not actually Republicans.
