I am convinced that Microsoft copied the idea to make Windows.

I used to think that MSFT stole a lot of stuff. I now believe they stole EVERYTHING. I now believe that this was a DS operation and that they stole everyone else’s tech breakthroughs in order to make themselves rich and powerful.

I think the only reason “they” allowed other companies to compete is so that they would have other companies to steal from.

As a *BSD & Linux user since the late 90s, I agree wholeheartedly.

I’m convinced that computers/software played into the DS blackmail scheme. Two people who potentially had access to _everything_ on most peoples computers became SUPER RICH.

John McAfee’s anti-virus software regularly scanned and investigated EVERY FILE ON DISK.
Bill Gates’ software ran 9x.x% of computers.

That seems like a ton of leverage potential to me!

In addition, why do you think Microsoft bought GitHub? The only reason I can come up with is for free (undetectable/easy) access to all the repositories and code stored therein.

Things that make you go: Hmmmmmmmph.

Back in the 80’s I remember MSFT encouraging hackers to break into their stuff. Sometimes they actually paid the hacker for the “fix.” But accounts of them paying are way fewer than the pirating. I think they actually paid the guy who designed the mouse.
