"Double jeopardy is illegal." It's not illegal, it's unconstitutional. But no matter because you clearly don't understand what Double Jeopardy is.

And this is a guy who has handled numerous firearms in films, he can’t say he didn’t know better. He absolutely should have.

Much of what I read at the time indicated he was bullying the armorer and preventing her doing her due diligence. Plus he owns the production company, he personally was producing and acting in this film, and clearly was micromanaging the production.
Seems to me there’s no one else to blame. Not to mention he’s LYING when he claims he never pulled the trigger.

Further independent gun testing (not the FBI)verified the gun didnt malfunction and fire accidentally as Baldwin claims.
So the re-indicted him .

Double jeopardy doesn’t attach until there is an acquittal or a conviction.

In his case it's Hot Schweddy Balls.

Double Jeopardy only apply to trials.
Baldwin was charged but never tried on the charges.

Baldwin was an actor in a movie, and movies are make-believe. If I was on the jury I would vote not guilty for Baldwin the actor.
However Baldwin was also the producer, and reportedly neglected safety procedures. Baldwin the producer may be guilty.

Charged again? How many times are they gonna charge him? More times than a fleet of Teslas on a cold Chicago winter night.

I wonder if she told him no before being shot.

If hes guilty, so is the armorer. The armorer had declared that gun safe and so did one other person before Alec had it. The armorer there on set sucked horribly and had safety issues on her last movie as well. She had no business being in charge of weapons on set.
And I think they are both guilty.

Don’t they know the gun fired itself?

Baldwin was an actor in a movie, and movies are make-believe.
Movies are make-believe, but the pertinent firearm was not. It wasn't a dummy gun, it wasn't CGI. Just because it was used in a make-believe setting didn't change it from being a deadly instrument.
I think it quite reasonable to take the stance that Baldwin the actor, as the last line of defense against something like this, and as the responsible party for pulling the trigger, had an obligation to check the rounds in the gun (dummy rounds for movies have a BB inside the case, all you have to do is give them a shake).

The most time he could spend in prison is 18 months and pay a $5k fine. Most likely he will serve house arrest for a few months and then be on supervised probation.
To: DallasBiff
This is an appropriate charge.

They found out he said hi to DT back when D was a D and in with celebs at one time back then.
