That’s one of the reasons I got interested in astronomy in the first place.
Astronomy has given me far more than I've given it (although at one time I did consider becoming an astronomer, I studied physics instead, became an engineer, and maintained astronomy as a hobby).
There is nothing that broadens one's outlook, and gives one an appreciation of God's Creation, so much as those Hubble photos. I thought I was pretty good at wrapping my mind around the immensity of space, until the first time I saw the Deep Field images. I frankly wept at the realization of just how much was out there; it was a life-altering epiphany.
