The more I look at this freak show the less I’m inclined to believe that anyone in it really matters. What we have here is a multicolored panorama of bloated egos, grotesque self-aggrandizement, and conspicuous consumption, where who gets invited to which party is more important than any issue on the table. If it has any value at all it serves as a preview of the upcoming year’s wealth transfer scams - carbon credits, anyone? Government subsidies for bug farms? Windmill plantations?
