Gwen Carter Clements:
Thinking of Rush Limbaugh and how now that he's dead, you never, ever hear anything about him. Nobody ever mentions anything he did. Because nothing he ever did had any value. It contributed nothing worthwhile to the culture. He just made anger. Every day. Rising, falling, then fading like a fart.
Then he died and was replaced by a fleet of little replicas, creating nothing of interest or artistic value to anyone. Seriously, what an awful way to make a living.
Steve West:
Rush was the greatest talk show host ever. It started out as 3 hours of comedy back in 1988, back when listeners who never had heard anyone go on the air and tell the truth about what was going on in American politics, we’re totally amazed and proudly called themselves “Dittoheads”, referring to the words of affirmation spoken by other callers. As in, “Good afternoon Rush, mega dittos from the state of Colorado!” Everyone LOVED Rush!
Limbaugh interviewed cabinet members, Generals and even presidents on his show! And while Rush was funnier than anyone I’d ever heard, he could also be very serious. Rush warned us about the dangers posed by certain policies, politicians and trends. He told us what we all needed to hear even when we didn’t want to hear it. He called himself “America’s Truth Detector”, and that was the truth.
Very few talk hosts have been able to recapture Rush’s magic, although Red Apple media’s 77 WABC New York has put together a staff that comes very close!
We need Rush now more than ever, in a country that’s completely lost, morally and economically. Sadly, I seriously doubt anyone will come along who can really fit into Rush’s shoes, but at least we have the memories.
Those are my memories and I’m stickin to it!
Every weekday, at the stroke of 12, I still think of tuning into the local AM station for 3 hours of broadcast excellence.
Hi, guarantee you that if you put together a string of comments from Rush, who is unfortunately dead, it will garner better ratings than anything this still-living idiot could ever possibly do. So much for him having had no positive effect on our culture.
I think my record is 5 different Rush stations in one day.
From CA desert over to the coast. Most were on pre-sets.
Rush put faces on the politicians. Nostrilitis, etc.
Made it fun to recognize them, and then connect them to their actions (that they had been able to hide from).
A big part of me died that Feb 17 (btw my birthday) Have not listen to am radio since
You’d all be mad at Rush right now.
Do you know who Rush sai was the closest anyone had come to graduating from the Limbaugh Institute for Advance Conservative Studies? Hint: You’v espent the last several months attacking him and calling him a RINO.
They could play Rush’s show’s from the beginning and they still would be relevant and entertaining. He was a genius.
Enjoy!
Every day.
The night Trump awarded Rush that medal was one of the happiest moments of my life. It was magic.
I still miss my daily allotment of EIB. There will never be another.
“No one has been able to fill the shoes of Rush Limbaugh”
TRUE! And no one ever will.
Rush was a flawed man in some ways, but there is/was/and will always be only ONE Rush Limbaugh.
“There can be only one” (Highlander)
I niss him every day!
I first heard Rush on his first day of national syndication. For 30 years Rush Limbaugh was one of the few constants in my life.
One day an out town co-worker was at my office and heard Rush on the radio. He told me that his best friend was Tush’s producer.
“Yea right. Prove it. Get me an autographed photo.”
Sure enough, two days later I got a Fed Ex envelope. That photo is framed on the wall at my home office.
Only goes back to 2005?
There have only been two times in my life i really welled up for anyone other than family or friends it was Reagans death and when Rush passed
About the same time I did.
My car got hit, and the other driver’s insurance got me a rental. Until they figured out it was their insured’s fault, the got me a beater with and AM-only radio.
And that’s where it began.... for me.
His passing was a day that shall live in infamy.
And people like Maddie, Kimmel, Fallon, and Lemon will be remembered? 🤣😂

This sounds more accurate:
"...Thinking of Gwen Carter Clements and how when she is dead, you will never, ever hear anything about her. Nobody will ever mention anything she did. Because nothing she ever did had any value. I think that will be FAR more accurate.
I’ve wondered if Dan made enough off his Bake Sale to get his subscription to the Limbaugh Letter.
