Sure they do. That's part and parcel with Communism. Mark Steyn has written a number of great pieces stating that while free market types wanted to open up to Red China to make them more like us, Red China has succeeded in making us more like them. The social credit scores, DEI, wokeism, etc. are just variations from the playbook. Red Chinese run Tik-Tok is definitely used to shape political opinion.They are doing a bang-up job of manipulating the Catholic Church due to sympathetic forces in the Vatican.

Traveling acoss Russia and into China showed a difference in the people. In Russia -— all were dressed in drab colored clothing - even in the cities it seemed. In China -— even the farmers in the fields were brightly dressed. Saw that when I went from London to Hong Kong by train in the 80s. Stopped at cities along the way. Fascinating trip.

I won't argue with that. If Russia doesn't have enough people to hold Siberia, someone will want to take it from them. They may as well be the southwest U.S. when Spain had it if they can't put enough people there to hold it.
