If you get to pick and choose what traditions you want to disregard (IE:Father giving away the bride) then so does your Dad. (IE: Paying for an ungrateful daughters wedding)
I agree. If she does not want her father to walk her down the aisle, then he should not pay for it.

I started my own traditions with my 3 daughters weddings. The first was that their wedding present was a large check that they could use to pay for an expensive wedding, or for an inexpensive one and keep the remainder. Everyone seemed happy with that deal. The second tradition was after I walked them down the aisle and handed over to the groom I said “No Give-backs”.
