Trump, campaign change tune on ‘fraud’ Ramaswamy
the hill ^ | 1/13/2024 | FILIP TIMOTIJA

Former President Trump and his campaign are changing their tune about fellow GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, now calling him a “fraud” and claiming that a vote for the biotech entrepreneur will help the “other side.”

Trump wrote to his supporters in a TruthSocial post on Saturday that they should not support Ramaswamy because he is “not MAGA” and claimed he disguises his support for the former president “in the form of deceitful campaign tricks.”

Ramaswamy, who till now has slipped away from attacks stemming from Trump and his campaign, has repeatedly defended the former president throughout his 2024 presidential run. He has even criticized other 2024 GOP opponents for insufficiently supporting Trump.

After Colorado’s Supreme Court barred Trump from the ballot under the 14th Amendment, Ramaswamy pledged to remove himself from the ballot and asked other Republican contenders to do the same thing.

He has offered repeated praise of the former president, even saying that he would pardon Trump if he wins the general election.

Trump declared Ramaswamy the winner of the fourth GOP debate that took place in Alabama in early December, saying that “Vivek WINS because he thinks l’m great.”

Ramaswamy doubled down on his support for Trump in Saturday comments.

“I respect the hell out of Trump. He’s the best President of the 21st century. I’ve defended him at every step against the unjust persecutions,” he told The Hill.

“But OPEN YOUR EYES to the hard TRUTH: this system will stop at nothing to keep this man away from the White House. Just because it’s wrong doesn’t mean it won’t happen & we owe it to our nation to take America-First forward.”

Ramaswamy has amassed around 7.6 percent of support in Iowa, far below Trump’s 53.6 percent according to The Hill/Decision-Desk HQ average of polls. Trump’s late-game attack on Ramaswamy comes hours before the release of the new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll, the last one before the Iowa Caucuses kick off on Jan. 15.

The Hill has reached out to Trump’s campaign for comment.

Why would Trump pick his VP from any of those losers running against him? Before DeSantis blew up his future political career running against Trump, I thought he’d make a great VP but not anymore. What a dumpster fire his campaign has been.

Not quite. Rameswamy was saying that Trump is a dead man walking. He wants to be there to pick up the pieces when something bad happens to trump.

another words. he’s a place holder candidate like the others.

In 1875, Chief Justice Waite, in the voting-rights case Minor v. Happersett, stated:

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first.”

Trump doesn’t have any baggage. He’s got lots of false accusations, and sometimes much as I support him, he’s his own worst enemy when he opens his mouth.

Quotes from The Conservative Treehouse:

Sen. Trumbull, framer of 14th Amend. – “The provision is, that ‘all persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens.’ That means ‘subject to the complete jurisdiction thereof.’ What do we mean by ‘complete jurisdiction thereof?’ Not owing allegiance to anybody else. That is what it means.”

John Bingham, framer of 14th Amend. – “I do not stand here to cavil with men who are not read in the horn-books of the law; but I assert that every man born within the limits of the Republic, or under its flag at sea, of parents who were not the subjects of any other sovereignty, are, in the very words of the Constitution, natural born citizens”

Rep Bingham quote is from Cong. Globe, 37th, 2nd Sess., 407 (1862)
Sen Trumbull quote is from Cong. Globe, 39th, 1st Sess., 2893 (1866)

That’s because Vivek flip flopped and said the only true way to support MAGA is to vote for Vivek because Trump has too much baggage.

__________________________________________________

Trump DOES have too much baggage. Some of which he is responsible for.

And has there ever been a candidate who has run on how great his opponent is? Vivek is supposed to say these things in support of himself.

And Trump being Trump is supposed to lash out on Trump Social.

If you look at my comment history I stated clearly that the Ramaswamy is a wolf in sheeps clothing... sotoreo lite if it ever came down to it.

There's a word for these people. GULLIBLE. Ramaswamy has been a grifter from the start. He says what he thinks people want to hear.

Relax, it’s only a course correction. Trump’s little surrogate and spoiler, Vivek, wasn’t meant to take any votes from him so DJT had to do a little discipline. Tribe Trump may have also noticed that some of the brown patina had worn off Vivek’s lips and he hadn’t shown quite enough fealty recently.

To say this to his most vociferous supporter.

Trump was right about a number of people - including DeSantus and Nikki - and people talked about how it was terrible. Trump was correct and people had to see what he knew.

Leaders are surrounded by high achievers who show excellent performance.

Stars are surrounded by ass kissers who are usually slimy and dishonest.
