Poor, poor woke Disney is having to make more major cuts.
Pixar, the animation studio that brought you classics like the Toy Story movies and The Incredibles, and now makes movies no one wants to see like Elemental, Soul, and Turning Red, have decided they need to make some cutbacks.
Currently, Pixar employs 1,300 workers but that number is likely to be slashed to under 1,000 with the newest business decision.
No solid number has been determined, and none of the layoffs are happening right away. But by the end of this year, Pixar is going to look A LOT different.
If I was a Pixar employee I'd be beefing up that resumè and looking to add new, useful skills to my repertoire.
Disney, you know what's coming next...
Go woke, go broke!
Look up stories this wee on how many companies are laying off workers...It started with Google.
At least they waited until after Christmas.................
I recall that CEO Bob Iger at the Disney stockholders meeting last month doubled-down on DEI. So more of the same woke garbage and still more losses.
AI makes animator’s redundant.
Oh noes! Who’s going to create the next black, transgender, lesbian, homosexual, non-binary, indigenous, underrepresented CGI clownfish/tiger/panda?!
AI................Human Artists are now unnecessary.................
Who will now draw the gay characters at Pixar?....
No one is interested in paying to be shown crappola lgbt etc.
Disney use to be about fun and innocence not woke bull shit.
F- disney, the evil empire
The downward spiral increased after they fired John Lasseter. He was a California liberal but he understood that you have to tell a good story.
Once the woke liberals drove him from the company the downward spiral accelerated. Now Pixar movies lose money, when used to be they were guaranteed moneymakers, like Star Wars and Marvel.
Get woke go broke.
