I know the genetics and temperament of each of my hives and suit up accordingly. When doing a cutout of a feral colony, you have no idea of their genetics nor temperament, they can go hot on you in an instant, and you are going to have a really bad day.

The video is edited to make it look easy and it is by no means easy or safe to do a cutout when you are not in a bee suit.

The commentary says that she has other videos on Tik-Tok and that she / beekeeper is always calm cool and collected. Perhaps she is less threatening to bees due to her vibes and the unique and calming smell she gives off? With no beekeeper’s suit on, she is getting as close as can be to these potential stingers.

I was a beekeeper for 12 years. Got out because of the varao mite. They ever get to the bottom of that? Ever find an effective treatment? Never had a colony disappear on me, guess I got in time.
