I joined the Marines in 1981 out of high school. As I had no real chance of going to college, it was a way for me to escape my crime-ridden neighborhood and dysfunctional family and make a life for myself.
I know for a fact that the military saved me from what would have been a miserable existence. I came out of the Marines with the discipline and confidence to build a very rewarding career path for myself.
Just conscript the blood relatives between the age of 17-35 of every last civilian Federal Employee and the problem is solved. Hell if we sent these new soldiers to the Front lines in Ukraine, the war would end in a day.
The military has always been a conservative institution. For the Left to take over, the military has to be restructured into a radical-left institution, or at least, neutralized.
Their plan seems to be working.
Who would want to join an organization where the leaders are a senile retardate in the White House and that Idi Amin defense secretary who is MIA in a hospital somewhere?
Also young men who were raised on Twinkies and video games, and cannot pass the Army physical.

You can paint white males as obese, drug addicted, slackers to bolster a progressive America, but the fact that almost all young men see the military as a deadend today with advancements based on skin color and ethnicity while taking the brunt of hostility toward them as the quintessential OPPRESSSOR of People of Color is a huge reason writ large.
So the backbone of the army is not signing up..
