On a related note, a couple of years ago I was in an appliance store, shopping for a new TV. I was waited on by a young guy who needed a shave. He was very helpful, and I picked out a model I liked.
Me: Thank you for your help, sir.
Salesperson (very indignant): I am a lady!
Me: Well, okay.
And no, I didn’t buy that TV. I try not to buy anything while I’m stuck in the Twilight Zone.
