Coal-to-protein livestock feed uses 1/1000th as much land as farmingAnd also emits 1000X as much "ee-vil" carbon dioxide!
Grass grown on pasturelands is renewable - coal, not so much.

You know where this is going?
Eventually they will eliminate the livestock part, and WE will be eating the protein....................

The CAS team's process works something like this: firstly, coal is transformed into methanol via gasification – a technique that can now be executed with near-zero carbon emissions. The carbon in that coal was safely sequestered in the bowels of the Earth. When converted to fodder and fed to livestock, it is eventually released into the atmosphere.
The carbon in natural grass was captured from the atmosphere. That's the difference!
IF you believe in anthropogenic climate change, you should be against coal-to-fodder!

We are the carbon they want to get rid of and we are the protein that they want us to eat.

All that carbon in all that coal was once in the atmosphere.
We just need to put it back where it belongs!................

So after Obama bankrupted the coal industry, those in the know on Wall Street can make a mint on this new tech. I smell a rat.

More fake food.
Great. Now they are just trying to contaminate the foods further down the food chain.

That methanol is then fed to a special strain of Pichia pastoris yeast, which ferments the methanol to produce a single-cell protein complete with a range of amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, fats and carbohydrates.
