Millennials and Gen Z in a large percentage literally can not drive manual transmission vehicles. I’ve actually seen this in action where some dudes tried to steal my neighbors F250 diesel truck with a stick. Apparently took them 20 or 30 attempts to get it out of the parking stall and they abandoned it 4 blocks away.
Millennials by and large do not know how to operate a manual transmission.
Hence the gear shift is an “anti-millennial-theft-device” ...
I think its a joke. Carjackers have jumped into cars but can’t drive them away because they don’t know what a stick is or how to drive one.
