Hitler should have went straight for Moscow. Instead he concentrated on destroying the Russian (Soviet) armies.
It’s a side point. But I put Napoleon in the same rough category as Hitler. Both men turned a failing country around. Then they both went crazy, and tried to rule all of Europe. In trying to do so, they left death and destruction everywhere.
It amazes me how so many people admire Napoleon today. He left French bones from Spain to Syria to Moscow. And in the final analysis, he was a total loser.
