I once saw the future in a dream. The actual event didn’t happen until 3 weeks later and in real life I didn’t see what I saw in my dream - but it was exactly what happened. I dreamed someone died and he died exactly where and when I saw him die. I was not close to this person, in fact, we barely spoke because he was Italian and didn’t speak English.
For a while I was afraid to go to sleep but at least that sort of thing never happened to me again. But I always wonder....HOW?????
I had a sister-in-law who was house hunting. She had a dream about the perfect house for them. A few days later, they viewed a house that was identical to the one in her dream, except the dream house had a creek in front of it, but the real house didn’t. A few days after they bought it and moved in, there was a big rain storm. Out in front of the house, A drainage ditch ran parallel to the street. It was full of rain water, and was flowing just like a creek.
This has happened to me a whole bunch of times. Too many to count. I don’t write dreams down but I have a knack for remembering the seemingly predictive ones.
Since this started I have met many people who have seen future events, mostly in dreams. A lot of the time it’s just little bits and pieces, irrelevant happenings like having a conversation with someone on public transportation. However, if you try to keep track of it all, you will start to realize that you can be aware of possible occurrences in the future and the awareness is often helpful.
“Future” and “past” are just handy terms. There are always echoes of the future occurring just as there are memories of the past. Isn’t it true that you can forget completely about something that happened in the past and then have whatever it is sort of storm in upon you during a time of contemplation or stress? It’s the same with the future.
I once had a premonition - this was not a dream, but I saw the whole thing in a flash, like a memory, except I could tell it was in the future - and I was tripping on a piece of broken asphalt walking with Mr K (not the one on this forum) to the mailbox, which is about 1/8 of a mile away from the house.
The premonition made me shudder and then I forgot it - until that evening, when I very rashly decided to walk barefoot to the mailbox in the deepening dusk with Mr K.
I tripped on a piece of broken asphalt and fell heavily into the ditch by the roadside. I hurt my foot pretty badly. (Why did I decide not to wear shoes? INSANITY.)
