This may gall some people but I noticed decades ago that if an adventure movie is scripted or directed by a woman it will not be up to par as other adventure movies. That also goes for si-fi movies.
Though she was educated in a Christian elementary school, she identifies as being Muslim. So we have a Muslim Pakistani feminist wanting to re-create Star Wars and a Female forward, male diminished franchise.
Does she, or anyone around her, remember that the Star Wars fan base is a solid 70-75% male base? You can go to any Star Wars fan “Cons” and it’s wall to wall dudes except for a few female cos-players.

I will be seeing Dune Part Two when it goes to DVD and streaming however.
I found the 2021 remake very enjoyable.
WAY easier to follow and understand that the 1984 original.

Lucas cherry picked influences from a LOT of places.
The storm troopers were borrowed from Nazi Germany.
I’ve read that the first concept of a ‘space opera’ was inspired by some Japanese sword fighting fugitive movie (forget the name)
I have noticed myself that A LOT of the place names are slight variations of those borrowed from the old testament

As far as I am concerned, that Star Wars franchise died years ago.
The Star Wars fanbase is significantly majority-male, so she's targeted more than half her potential ticket buyers with an actual promise that they will hate the movie.
Hey Disney. Don't move her over to sales, make her a door-person in the corporate lobby. Or give her a few hundred million to make your next flop. Your call.
