Bowl games are SUPPOSED to be a reward for an excellent season and to focus on the games needed to vote for the national championship. The system was not nearly as broke as the fools who claimed it was.

And now we have an attempt at a huge money grab for a few conferences and guess what? The courts side with the athletes and the schools have lost control with the NIL and Transfer Portal!

I remember how when Monday Night Football's season would end like the first week in December and the next Monday Night broadcast was the Liberty Bowl, WITHOUT a sponsor's name on it, and it was exciting for the two schools to play on a Monday night.

We basically created the equivalent of participation trophies for college football teams with the ‘6-win’ threshold for qualifying. And those bowls are not terribly watchable, nor generate a lot of revenue and some will die off.

Bowl Games have become like the NIT in college basketball, nobody cares.

I love college football but not nearly as much since the Buckeye players traded their golden pants for tatoos. Very disappointing. Sad day. No tradition. Nothing is sacred except the green back.
The Big Ten League is meaningless.
