We finally went with Imperial for husband if that is available in your area.

0 premium so how bad can it be?

No real experiences with them yet.

Having been battling Humana for several weeks due to their premature discharge policy, they have a Medicare TAKE Advantage Plan.

The crap is about to hit the fan as they are now working with United Healthcare (should be an snti trust violation) and screwing the elderly to make additional billions of dollars. A class action suit was filed against them last week.

Most nursing homes now reject United Healthcare and Humana for Rehabilitation.

IF you post your zip and the drugs you will be prescribed (the Dr office should know for a standard procedure what will be prescribed so ask) and I can search the cost for you... or go to Medicare.gov and check Prescription Drug Plan and list them and then use the compare tool to look at the three estimated least costly... It does get complex, but happy to help if you shoot me a message.

Stay with Medicare and get a supplemental plan rather than a Medicare Advantage Plan.

So far I am clueless as to what I will be given. I see my surgeon on the 11th, and the day for the procedure will be within 30 days I understand.

But so far I have no precriptions.

You can’t get a supplement plan if you have one of several preexisting conditions. I have 2

They’ll prescribe oxycod/acetaminophen. that’s what i got twice for rotator cuff surgery. Get one of those cold water pumps too. I have one and can’t give it away! Used for my latest rotator cuff surgery.

Correct...

United Healthcare purchased Navi Health who uses an AI software algorithm to cut short treatment.

The appeals process sucks so most people just accept the discharge.

Humana also uses Navi-Health.

Thus stroke victims are getting denied treatment during the critical 90 day window of optimal improvement.

I have found Amazon Pharmacy to be cheaper in total than just my copays in my insurance plan. Check it out if you might.

Advantage Plans make money on the healthy and screw the people when they really need care.

Based upon experience, ask your surgeon for two additional items. The surgeon can include an anti-nausea drug in your IV. Ask about anti-constipation medication too. Constipation is a common side effect of most serious pain killers.

FWIW, I’ve had two neck fusions, two rotator cup, bariatic surgery, and hand surgery to reattach all the tendons in my right hand. IOW, there is some experience there. Get off the opiods as rapidly as possible. Pain tolerance is a personal thing but I take a opiod upon arriving home, one before bed, one the next morning then tylenol only. I’m not saying it will work for you but it does work for many. those opiods are a bitch. Quit them asap.

So, you’re not going to take vaccines but you will take prescription drugs? The prescription drugs can have side effects as serious, if not more so, than the vaccines.

I have found for pain: An ibuprofen tablet taken with an arthritis strength Tylenol works just fine.

That is what I take now, but they are talking about replacing my shoulder. I will be needing something stronger than ibuprofen and Tylenol.
