Depending on the Republican Party was always foolish - they were compromised a long time ago. The concept of the "uniparty" is not just a theory. Most Republicans are literally no different than Democrats. If we were ever going to solve this, it would be by our own hands. That is the situation we're in. Getting mad at the Swamp for not helping to defeat the Swamp is pointless. If the American people don't have the will to correct this situation, then they have no business crying about Republicans.
