Tesla Cybertruck involved in first reported crash – demolishes Toyota Corolla’s front end in head-on collision

Tesla’s stainless steel Cybertruck was involved in its first reported accident after finally hitting the road last month — and it wasn’t pretty for the other car.

A Toyota Corolla was left crumpled after appearing to collide head-on with the fully electric, bomber-like vehicle on Thursday, according to a Reddit post that showed photos of the accident.

The Toyota’s front end was completely demolished, with the sedan’s side airbags deployed as it rested on the side of the road with its hood popped open and a headlight dangling, one photo shows. The 17-year-old driver was not hurt, local police told The Post.

And if was a head-on as the article alluded to, why are their horizontal scratches, scuff marks and other damage to the trucks driver side? Looks like sideswipe damage to me.

Yep and you can tell they cherry picked the images that were released. They have a habit of attempting to censor damage/incidents when EVs are involved.

The damage don’t add up. The story they’re peddling is very suspect.

I’d bet a cup of coffee, the front end damage to the Toyota was caused when it lost control, left the roadway, hit an embankment, veered back on to the road, striking the truck.

I wonder what the repair bill on the Cybertruck will be, and how many months it will take to get the parts.

I could be wrong, but based on the limited images of the scene/vehicles, I’d say this is being peddled to make the Cyber truck look bad azz...The story reeks.

The relative damage is not surprising. Weight makes a lot of difference, and battery powered vehicles weigh a lot. Luckily, the thing did not explode.

I noted they’re billing this as cyber truck kills Toyota in head-on...Yet no images of the cyber trucks front end, only the Toyota’s front end after slamming into an embankment...Seems a bit odd.

I bet there was no head-on with the truck and the truck was only sideswiped by the Toyota after it reentered the road, hence the long horizontal scuffs/scratches on the driver side of the truck.

I think the story reeks.

Yeah, the oval tires give you a hell of a massage while you drive.

Wait until they find a scratch on the battery pack and the insurance company declares it totaled!

Just like that Canadian guy with the Ioniq that got a batter pack scratch.

The Tesla bed is apparently 6’ long.

Somewhere between the 5.5’ and 6.5’ [my current bed length -fits skis better].

The Tesla is a crew cab, but the 2nd row headroom looks short.

The Tesla truck is ~24 inches shorter than my current issue.

The range on my truck is often 700 miles [and I use it].
