What I got out of the video was that she was there in Auschwitz when it was liberated by the Soviets. At that time, there was snow on the ground (at least one foot).
Later, the Soviets realized that they should have taken pictures, so they did what was basically a recreation of what happened using actors. There was no snow.
The liberation did happen (she was there), but the pictures were done later.

This is a good summary of what she said. I do not doubt that many people in Auschwitz were exterminated by the Nazis. My guess is the actual liberation would have looked a lot more horrific than what this recreation shows.
I do have a problem with governments and media recreating historical events and representing it as the actual event. Certainly many people in Gaza die in any conflict they have with Israel, but they often feel it is necessary to recreate the photographs or videos because they didn’t have a camera exactly where they wanted it to be.
Actors, huh? What sort of ad was put out to draw emaciated people and how long did it take for them to get into character?
