A friend has a house in Long Beach, CA, which has been used in both commercials and movies, several times in the past 15 years. He is paid well for the use of the house. The producers have also completely repainted the house in a color of their choice (The producer wanted the house to be a specific color, they painted it, then repainted when finished).

If what trump did is true, it is not "bullying", it is negotiating a fee for the use of his property. The producer had one easy option: Choose a different location.

Whenever a movie is shot, they always pay for location. Each time my building's facade was shot, I was paid. If tenants had to do something to their front windows, they were paid.
