because as far as I know all of the groups still doing this are anti-Zionist.

OK, I will give you that. For those others reading, There are some sects in Israel always at odds with authorities and ultra ultra Orthodox in nature to the point they are, well, like you said, anti-zionist. Halakka or Haredi? I don't know much about them, but they get little legitimacy over there or in the community in the US (My friends called some of them "the bubbitches" among other things. I never asked them why they didn't like them. I realized later that was a derogatory term for Lubavitch. )

You seem very reasonable. . I don't know if you are Jewish or one of those christians that fly the israeli flag in front of their house to show how down with the struggle they are. Re: Bottom feeding ass kissers in relation to top level official ass kissers like Mike Pence Nikkki Hayley and Mike Pompeo and the rest of that crowd. (sorry, they annoy me for reasons I'm too tired to go into now) I hope you are Jewish. I find the christians never get their crap right in their defense of the state of israel vs. the holy land of israel. I grew up seeing the jewish kids knew the bible better than the sunday school kids.

I support israel, but I'll never kiss their ass. It's sickening and pathetic when I see the neocons do it without question.

I will continue tomorrow. I have a theory I want to work out with you. I think you will see I do not come from a bad place--I'm just a jerk/douche about it. I do believe I am right, though. And I have seen enough of people in their own words and actions to think something is VERY wrong in Western Civilization right now.

Halakha is Jewish Law based on the 613 Laws in the Torah, commands in the rest of the Hebrew Bible, the Oral Law and Rabbinic interpretation in the Talmud, and later local rulings. All Orthodox Jews try to live by these, although not all are applicable outside of Israel or without a Temple in Jerusalem. Haredi are Ultra Orthodox, as opposed to Modern ORthodox, who make compromises to live within general society. There is a wide diversity within Haredi Jews. There are differences in custom between Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe and Sephadi and Mizrahi Jews from the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Then there is the divide in the Ashkenazi camp between normative Ultra-Orthodox and Hasidic Jews. Some Haredi Jews join the Israeli Army. Others don't. It's complicated.

Not all Hasidic Jews are the same. The different Hasidic Dynasties have different customs and outlooks. Chabad/Lubavitch are sort of like our fundamentalist Evangelicals.

I'm Jewish and a third generation Zionist. I can be a jerk too
