Russian YouTube vlogger Marina investigates the alleged egg shortage in Russia at a Globus supermarket in Moscow, finds that the shelves are fully stocked and prices are only slighter higher than they were two months ago.
Don't look now but it might even be Fair Trade. We tend to get the screw in free trade.
Nice try, kid. Azerbaijan has become a client state of Russia, just as Belarus. Hardly what we in the West would call “free trade.”
But solid leadership from Putin as you point out.
I imagine egg-eaters in Russia don’t taste a difference in eggs from chickens on either side of the border...
Well done.
“But solid leadership from Putin as you point out.”
Nice try, kid. If Putin were any kind of leader eggs produced in Russia would be stocking the shelves. But, of course, there are no such eggs, and thus Russia must look elsewhere for them.
In any event, the eggs from Azerbaijan are but a fraction of what is needed or sought; and only a few select stores get them (but I bet Putin and his cadre get their fill).
“I imagine egg-eaters in Russia donβt taste a difference in eggs from chickens on either side of the border...”
Probably not. But I bet they wish they were homegrown. If they had a good leader they would be.
And Russia still can’t manufacture a car that is worth a damn: Cars are one of Russia’s biggest imports.
Puti apologized for the egg shortage and promised to fix it.
Constrast that with how Western “leadership” responds to complaints from the people they rule.

“Moscow will always get first priority on all goods. The real test is what is available many miles away from Moscow.”
Interesting contrast to America, where the worst stores will be in the largest cities.
So, I was talking about the store itself and the other items they offered in the store. My comment had absolutely nothing to do with eggs at all.
LOL, you’ve got a point there. π€£
The thread was about the eggs.
Well, I lived in the D.C. area for decades, and I never saw a store like that in D.C. In fact, I used to work at an A&P in N.W. D.C. that saw lots of Rep. & Senators, as well as, other notable high profile shoppers. It was a nice store, but it was never stocked like that store in Moscow was stocked.
I wonder if a family man who dropped into one of the stores there in Russia to pick up some milk gets beaten to death by a bunch of feral thugs needing a good laugh like here in the good ole USA.
Just like Ukraine is a client state of the US.
“Just like Ukraine is a client state of the US.”
Not quite.
Yes it is, They do what we say and we pay for it.
I said “Not quite.” That means, almost.
You need to shop somewhere other than Walmart.
Narrow-minded people like you limit your thinking narrowly as well. I see the bigger pictures that idiots like you fail to notice. That is why you are an old fart, as well as, an idiot.
BTW, I don't do grocery shopping. But I used to work at an A&P, when I really was a kid, grocery store in N.W. D.C. where the Reps, Senators. & other notables who lived in N.W. D.C. & Bethesda would shop. It was a very nice store, but not as nice as that store appeared to be.
Nice try, kid.
The article was about eggs. It wasn’t about your shopping experiences at “inferior” American stores. If you like Russia’s stores so much, then get your sorry ass over to Russia and be happy.
Your good friend Vlad will be happy to have you...especially for his next mobilization.
Dasvidaniya!
You should probably go to Ukraine old fart, where you can marry a young girl, though you probably are unable to do much other than see her as eye candy.
“Nope, I want my country back & will fight to make that happen...”
Oh, spare me your heroics. Did you ever serve? No, you didn’t; because that question was posed to you before.
“... unlike you who is far more concerned about Putin & Ukraine.”
Nice try, kid. You’re the one who pines for Russian stores, and puts them above anything we have here in the US. So, take your sorry ass to Russia, where you’ll feel at home.
“You should probably go to Ukraine old fart, where you can marry a young girl, though you probably are unable to do much other than see her as eye candy.”
Kid, I have a wife; and we’ve been married over forty years. That is something you will never experience. Nor will you ever know what true commitment is, or devotion, or honor.
You see, kid; my wife is an invalid; and she’s in end stage of her illness. I take care of her; I have always taken care of her: That is what commitment and devotion is all about, kid. I promised her I would never put her in a home, or ever have some home health aide who doesn’t give a shit about her come to our home to “take care” of her. I promised her I’d be there for her until I drew my last breath.
But, kid; you can’t possibly understand that.
What’s more, I beat cancer. So little pukes like you are but crushed gnats under my boot heels.
