oh yeah! what was it about ‘blue roofing’ again????

Not sure about blue roofs on Maui and laser weapons, but I am pretty sure that the original color of the capitol roof, and many of the federal buildings in D.C., was copper. The color just turned blue over the years from oxidation, which in the case of copper, has a preservative effect.
