Laura Lynch, a founding member of The Dixie Chicks, was killed in a head-on crash Saturday in El Paso, Texas, according to TMZ.
The band, which changed its name in 2020 to The Chicks, said it was "shocked and saddened" by her death.
"We hold a special place in our hearts for the time we spent playing music, laughing and traveling together," the band wrote in a statement.

Gotta disagree. Bush and Cheney engineered the lies that got us into a 20 year war. A war where too many good Americans died and trillions were wasted. Only to have a shameful pullout leaving Americans behind and billions in military equipment.
They manipulated words to get people to believe 9/11 was the worst attack since Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was attacked by a nation with a superior military force which resulted in a declaration of war that we actually won.
9/11 was a terrorist attack where no single nation could be held accountable. So WMD’s were invented to invade Iraq, which eventually destabilized that region and allowed Iran to be the regions power house. In Afghanistan we fought goat herders running around in Toyotas and hiding in caves for 20 years and lost.

GW Bush was asked a direct question before he ever won office. It was in the vein of, what can we do about the extra-Constitutional functions that government has taken unto themselves? He said, “that ship has sailed”. Referring to the EPA, NEA, and the other functions gathered unto the Federal government, leaving the 10th amendment riddled with holes. At another time of course he said The US Constitution was just a piece of paper. I could never vote for him. I would have rather had Clinton in office, and I hated him for other reasons.

Something that has been stated by whistleblowers (unofficial ones) is that Bush, to stay on the good side of the Saudis and others made mercenaries of the US Military to keep Iran at bay for the Sunni Arab Saudis— but that it went further than that. That is GWB began to pay the RANSOM to keep any further alQaeda attacks on the US from occurring— Ransoming payments to Iran who kept Osama Bin Laden in protective custody. The amount was in the billions over the years so it is said (and one cannot ignore the massive CASH “legal award” cover storied payments in millions sent to Tehran on US C-17s, which stopped off to pick up more pallets of Swiss and French Francs in Geneva then on to Tehran.) Thus leaving Osama to die a natural death in Iran— with a body double to be killed in Abbotabad Pakistan, and buried at sea- a muslim impossibility in fact. A final set up.
