Laura Lynch, a founding member of The Dixie Chicks, was killed in a head-on crash Saturday in El Paso, Texas, according to TMZ.
The band, which changed its name in 2020 to The Chicks, said it was "shocked and saddened" by her death.
"We hold a special place in our hearts for the time we spent playing music, laughing and traveling together," the band wrote in a statement.

She left the band before they went liberal. She was replaced by Natalie Maines, the most liberal loudmouth of the bunch. (She’s the one who said they were ashamed to be from Texas because of GWB.)

I think the Dixie Chicks were fairly neutral politically until Natalie Maines replaced Laura Lynch.
RIP.

That’s too bad they’re such left wing butt heads I might have felt bad but they’re ugly spirited libtards that hate conservatives

An ex girlfriend died in a car crash on Christmas Eve 1975 at age 20. There’s nothing worse than the loss of a child, but the grief on Christmas Eve must be even more horrible.
Gosh, that’s almost 50 years ago. I still remember exactly where I was when I heard.

As I read on, it seems like she had left the group before they became ‘controversial’.

Nope. Still not listening to them.

Not that Natalie Maines should have said what she said, but that said, she wasn’t far off. Bush has made almost all of us ashamed that we ever voted for him or supported him.

They even took the word Dixie out of their name.

Sorry to hear that.
A friend of mine got hit by a car on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately it took several years to die. He was vegetative. It was very hard on his family.

They were right about GWB. I couldn’t have been more wrong about that Uniparty POS.

Because Al Gore and John Kerry would have been so much better…. Like every president (Trump included), he did some good things and some bad things. But he was a much better option than the alternative.
