“Why is Harvard giving Claudine Gay ‘plagiarism privilege’?” asked the New York Post editorial board Saturday.
It must be a rhetorical question. Professor Carol Swain, who was ripped off by Gay and complains “I feel like her whole research agenda, her whole career, was based on my work,” has some idea.
“A white male would probably already be gone,” Swain, a black woman herself, told journalist Christopher Rufo recently.

Can we safely assume that all black people in high positions got there because they cheated or standards were lowered for them? Id say most of them with a very few exceptions.

Harvard is now the Bud Light of colleges and universities. The brand is tarnished and it’s going to be difficult to restore that lost cachet.
About 15 years ago, my daughter had a college textbbok that had a warning about plagiarism. It used Joe Biden as an example.
Dr. Carol Swain is a spectacular and articulate academian. Gay picked the right person to plagiarize.

“Publish or perish” has turned academia into one big stupid farm.
When I read about these plagiarism charges, the unsaid message is, they’re black, so it’s OK. That is, the person couldn’t be successful without cheating or it’s the only way that they can get ahead so it’s an acceptable behavior. I don’t know I would want my legacy to be that and I know there are successful black scholars who didn’t have to resort to cheating to succeed or get a degree.
The Peter Principle will still apply...if not to them personally, then to the institutions for which they work.
The rotten bitch doesn’t have the decency to resign and save her institution 100s of millions of dollars.

Tokens have to steal their “brilliance” from the smart people. That’s the only way a third worlder could get away with running Harvard. Unless Harvard’s GAS Factor has hit the bottom and they don’t care who is running the joint as long as they get their money. Having a third worlder running Harvard will help them explain to Americans in a few years why Harvard was graduating third world, shiddy students.
