I was the only one who ate every can of fruit cake I could get hold of and when I had gotten all the ones I could from people just wanting to get rid of them, then I would trade my peaches for more.

The C-ration ham and eggs entree was OK to me, but nobody else in my company seemed to want it.
One item that doesn’t need canning. My brother and I have been gifting each other the same cheap fruitcake for the last 35 years. It was a cheap one we bought at Arbor Drugs for about $1.00. I’ll be getting it back this year and it will probably sit at my house for ten months until I figure out how to open it.
We’ve used some interesting gift wrapping. Welded boxes, concrete, solid Plaster of Paris.
I’m thinking a roll of barbed wire for him next year. Maybe razor ribbon.
We havent’ managed to destry the fruitcake yet.
