MONONA, Wis. -- Police officers in Monona are searching for a vehicle of interest involved in the shooting of a 17-year-old Wednesday night.
Officers responded to 6300 Monona Dr. at around 6 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to an upper extremity. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
Police determined the shooting happened in the parking lot, and at about the same time, a car crashed in an adjacent lot. Police learned the crash occurred during the shooting as the victim and another uninvolved driver were trying to get to safety.
Monona Police have identified a black 2022 Tesla Model 3 with a California license plate of 9BAM452 as a vehicle of interest. They say the vehicle is reported as stolen.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Monona Police at (609) 222-0463. You can also report tips anonymously by calling Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.

This happened where I am a few months ago:
I’m with you on that. That house was a mess. It was a real hot fire — the hot gases in the attic melted all the plastic soffit panels and caused them to drop down.
I’m surprised the firefighters didn’t drag the car out of the garage.
I wonder if people who suffer a loss like that change their minds about EVs.

Tesla should be able to track the car, shut it down, and lock the doors.
