I think it’s a pretty good idea. In my sleep I’ve been hit, slapped, kicked, and punched HARD during Hubby’s night terrors. Screaming! (I call them night terrors; maybe they’re just very bad dreams where he fights people.)
Imagine being sound asleep then ... BAM! ... punched in the arm or face. I’m supposed to be hyper careful about detached retina and I got punched in the eye once. (Doc checked me out and I was OK.)
It’s not so bad now that he retired from a high stress job. Screaming continues. Separate beds or rooms sounds like a great idea.
What? I sleep in my chair all the time. She sleeps on a 1200 bed with cats and dogs. We are good.
I would simply like to say that I once dated a girl that looked exactly like Cameron Diaz in her, say, 20s.
She was crazy but she really was exceptionally, problematically gorgeous.
She married a Muslim.
Thank you. Have a nice thread.
I also support separate bathrooms.

It's the current state of the English language on display. Where we used to have waitresses and maids we now have servers and house-keepers.
Which is tolerable. What irks me is "reporting" where some gender-confused freak is involved and the writer insists on referring to them as the opposite chromosomal make-up.
Even worse is when one person is referred to as "they" and I scan the article looking for the other person, wondering if my eyesight or reading comprehension is failing, only to realize it's that idiotic pronoun abuse.
Not even a first-world problem. Rich, elite problem.
A lot of people have big enough homes to give family members some space. Guys love workshops and mancaves, for example. But not everyone can afford to have three separate houses sharing the same property. To “normalize” this would first require everyone to become very rich. I’m fine with that, but it doesn’t happen through magical wishing or liberal politics.
Her proposal will also lead to more global warming, er, climate change, so it’s no good. Probably racist, too.
